How This Test Works
The test shows a red screen and asks you to wait. After a random delay between 1.5 and 4.5 seconds,
the screen turns green and you click as fast as possible. We use performance.now()
for high-resolution timing. If you click before the screen turns green, that attempt is flagged as a false start.
After 5 valid attempts, you see your average, median, best, and worst times.
Scoring
Your final score is the average of 5 valid attempts in milliseconds. Lower is better.

Display latency, input device, browser, and system load all affect results. Use the same setup for comparisons.
Tips
Keep your hand near the mouse or screen. Focus on the center of the test area. Avoid multitasking during attempts.

What is a good reaction time?
Most people score between 200 and 300 ms. Trained individuals can reach 150–200 ms. Anything below 200 ms is considered very fast. Your measured time includes hardware and display latency, so absolute values will vary by device.

Does this test work on mobile?
